In March 2023, RES submitted a planning application for its 12-turbine Carnbuck Wind Farm, located in the townlands of Carnbuck, Magheraboy and Moneyneagh, near Corkey, Co. Antrim. Adjacent to the existing Gruig Wind Farm, Carnbuck would be capable of generating enough clean, low-cost renewable electricity for an additional 55,000 homes each year, if consented.

The proposed scheme comprises 12 turbines with an overall installed site generating capacity of around 50MW, in addition to an energy storage facility which will help maximise the generation capability and efficiency of the site.

In January 2025, RES submitted Further Environmental Information (FEI) for Carnbuck Wind Farm in response to queries raised by statutory consultees.
